Family Background

Maranatha Academy encourages every parent to take an active role in their child’s education. While Maranatha is an institute centered around the integration of a Biblical worldview with education, we want the family to be the main support system for the kids. The family upbringing should reflect and reinforce the Christian standards that we teach each and every day in our classrooms. Furthermore, we encourage the parents to get involved with each school activity from homework and fundraising to sporting event attendance and holiday concerts performed by their children. Following you will read the Statement of Cooperation and the Parental Agreement that we require signed before the child begins attendance.

Statement of Cooperation

The following is a cooperation statement and agreement to abide by that each parent signs as part of the admission application. The signed copy is kept in the student's file.

It is my understanding that the policy for the school is to make no refunds on registration fees.

I give Maranatha Academy permission for my child to take part in all school activities, including bus trips, sports activities, and school sponsored trips away from the school premises.

I also believe that discipline is necessary for the welfare of each student, as well as for the entire school. I give permission for my child’s teacher and/or other agent of the school to make and enforce classroom regulations in a manner consistent with Christian principles and discipline as set forth in the Scriptures. I further agree to hold the school and its agents harmless for any liability to my child or any guardian or parent thereof because of any claims on behalf of my child against the school or any agent thereof because of any claims or alleged injury to my child. Should legal action, for any reason, be taken against Maranatha Academy or any employee or agent thereof, on my child’s behalf and the school or its agent not be found at fault, I agree to pay any attorney fees, court fees, damages or other costs that Maranatha Academy or its agent should incur to defend itself against such action (1 Corinthians 6:1).

This Statement of Cooperation will be in effect for as long as my children listed (or others to be enrolled) attend Maranatha Academy whether it be in the Kindergarten, Elementary, Junior-Senior High or Summer School.

Parent Agreement

We acknowledge the following:

1. Our commitment to participate in the Christian education of our son or daughter with regular attendance at a Bible believing church as a family, and by exemplifying Christian principles of life in our home.

2. That it is our God given responsibility to acquaint ourselves with Maranatha Academy staff and facilities, to be sure that our child is getting the type of education that God would have us give our child.

3. Our commitment to the Statement of Faith, policies, procedures, Statement of Cooperation, Jr. and Sr. High Code of Conduct, and dress code of Maranatha Academy as stated in the Family Handbook.

4. Our commitment to be involved in Parent Teacher Fellowship and to attend all PTF meetings. A schedule of meeting dates will be available at the beginning of the year.

5. Our commitment to pledge our fullest cooperation to keep doctrinal controversy and denominational emphases out of the school at all times. (Romans 13:8-10; 1 Corinthians 12:12-14, 13:1-13; Galatians 5:13-15, 25, 26; Ephesians 4:1-7).

6. Our commitment to agree that if our child should become involved in any trouble or we disagree with any policy set by the school, we will in no case complain to any other party, and in the spirit of meekness will register necessary complaints with the teacher or principal involved. (Matthew 18:15-17).

7. Our commitment to pay the entire annual tuition determined at the signing of this application. This tuition may be arranged to be paid in three different methods: 1). Full payment made by August 5th of the school year, 2). Paying 60% of the tuition by August 5th and the remaining 40% by January 5th, and 3). On a monthly basis over a ten month period beginning August 5th to May 5th. A $25.00 late fee will be charged to your account for any month during which an installment is late or returned for insufficient funds. If tuition payment has lapsed for a month and no arrangements have been made with the Board chairman or personally appeal to the Board for the final action. Books must be paid in full by August 31st or upon enrollment.

8. We realize that all final grades and credits will be held until accounts are paid in full. Records will not be transferred to another school if money is due to Maranatha Academy.
