Tuition Assistance
The Maranatha Board is committed to keeping Christian education affordable for all families. For this reason, we also have a Tuition Aid Program available to
families that qualify for assistance. If you are interested in exploring this option, please ask for an application from the office. They are to be turned in
before August 1. 2005.
Fundraising Opportunities to Earn Money toward Tuition
In order to make a Christian education affordable to every family, the Board is re-instituting (on a one-year trial-basis) a program whereby families may earn
money toward their tuition. Families must consider this money as earned income, therefore, families who earn over $600 through fundraising, will be issued a 1099
for tax purposes each January. The following select opportunities are being made available through the Maranatha PTF Fund Raising Program.
Pasties - $1.00 for each $3.00 pasty sold goes to the pasty worker or pasty team's tuition. A worker may sell his/her own pasties and receive the full $1.00
credit. A pasty worker may team up with someone who is not able to work but will sell the pasties. In this case, each person (the worker and the seller) would
split the earnings and each receives $.50/pasty toward tuition.) Each pasty-bake working team member will be allotted an amount of pasties equal to the number
produced in that bake divided by the number of workers.
Passes for Poplar Golf Course are also split 50/50 between general fund and tuition:
- 18 holes sell for $15 (7.50 to GF & 7.50 to tuition)
- 9 holes sell for $10 ($5 to each).
DQ Discount Cards sell for $3.00 (50/50) again until they're sold out.
These are the only three fundraisers presently that have the 50/50 going toward general fund and tuition, respectively.
