Thank you for your interest in Maranatha Academy. You may be either a parent or a prospective parent reading this web page. We hope you are blessed to see how the Lord is working here at Maranatha Academy. What a privilege for us to be involved in this exciting ministry of training up our children in the ways of the Lord.
Our simple theme for this year is “Heeding God's Word.” The scripture from Psalm 119:9 reminds us: “Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed thereto according to thy word.”
Maranatha Academy is dedicated to giving students in pre-kindergarten through the twelfth grade a Christ-centered educational experience that integrates academic excellence, social, physical and spiritual growth. Students at Maranatha spend their academic years growing in a Christian worldview and practicing servanthood. Good character is taught and recognized.
We are an inter-denominational Christian school where 27 Evangelical churches are represented in our student body. We use A Becka curriculum, and our classroom format is traditional. Students have the advantage of highly dedicated teachers, small classes, and a loving atmosphere in which to learn.
May God guide and direct you as you consider the important task of providing a Biblically-based education for your children. Many years ago when Timothy Dwight was president of Yale University, he said, “Education ought everywhere to be religious education … parents are bound to employ no instructors who will not educate their children religiously. To commit our children to the care of irreligious persons is to commit lambs to the superintendency of wolves.”
Over 3,000 schools have membership in ACSI (Associaiton of Christian Schools International), enrolling over 660,500 students. These statistics reflect only one international organization's membership, yet they indicate the strength and determination of parents who are sacrificing much to invest in our children’s future.
